Approved Septic Tank ManufacturersLevel 1 tank manufacturers are able to provide septic tanks that meet the minimum requirements as specified by Quanics, Inc. for use with the Bio-COIR wastewater treatment system. These manufacturers have chosen not to pre-cast tanks with cast-in tank adaptors. They have also chosen not to pre-cast the 1500 gallon Bio-COIR STEP tank. Level 1 tank manufacturers are expected to upgrade to a Level 2 tank manufacturer at such time as the Bio-COIR receives general approval from the state of Virginia or January 1, 2011. Level 2 tank manufacturers are able to provide top-seam septic tanks with cast-in tank adaptors. These manufacturers do not provide the 1500 gallon Bio-COIR STEP tank. Level 3 tank manufacturers provide top-seam septic tanks with cast-in tank adaptors. They also provide the 1500 gallon Bio-COIR STEP tank. Level 4 tank manufacturers provide top-seam septic tanks with cast-in tank adaptors. They also provide the 1500 gallon Bio-COIR STEP tank as well as tanks approved for use on systems in excess of 1000 gallons per day. These manufacturers have also chosen to store Bio-COIR wastewater treatment units on their lots and deliver these units free of charge to the contractor when the contractor purchases the septic tanks from them.
